Moderation Commands

Netrcol moderation commands for Fluxer: ban, kick, timeout, warn, clear messages and lock or unlock a channel, with the permission each one requires.

Overview

The moderation module gives your staff fast, accountable control over the server — from banning and kicking to timeouts, warnings, message cleanup, and channel locks.

Every action checks role hierarchy (Netrcol can only act on members and roles below its own) and is written to the moderation log. When a log channel is configured, a copy is also posted there. Each command requires the matching permission, which administrators bypass.

Ban

!ban <user_id> [reason]

Required permission: Ban Members

Bans a member from the server. Checks role hierarchy and refuses to act on members ranked at or above Netrcol. The action is recorded in the moderation log and sent to the configured log channel.

Unban

!unban <user_id> [reason]

Required permission: Ban Members

Removes a user from the server ban list using their account ID. Logs the action to the configured log channel.

Kick

!kick <user_id> [reason]

Required permission: Kick Members

Removes a member from the server. They can rejoin with a new invite. Role hierarchy is enforced and the action is logged.

Timeout

!timeout <user_id> <duration> [reason]

Required permission: Moderate Members

Temporarily mutes a member so they cannot send messages or speak. The duration accepts units like 10m, 1h, or 1d.

Required permission: Moderate Members

Clears an active timeout from a member, letting them chat again immediately.

Warn

!warn <user_id> [reason]

Required permission: Moderate Members

Adds a warning to a member's record, including who issued it and the reason. Warnings are stored and can be reviewed later.

Lists every warning recorded for a member, with reasons and the moderators who issued them.

Clear

!clear <amount>

Required permission: Manage Messages

Bulk-deletes recent messages in the current channel. Accepts a number between 1 and 100. Messages older than 14 days may not be removable.

Clear User

Required permission: Manage Messages

Deletes recent messages from one specific member in the current channel, up to the given count.

Lock

!lock

Required permission: Manage Channels

Locks the current channel so regular members can no longer send messages. Useful for pausing a busy channel.

Reverses a lock, restoring the ability to send messages in the current channel.

Slowmode

!slowmode <0-21600>

Required permission: Manage Channels

Sets the channel slowmode delay in seconds. Use 0 to turn it off. The maximum is 21600 seconds (6 hours).

Role

!role <add|remove> <user_id> <role_id|role_name>

Required permission: Manage Roles

Adds or removes a role from a member. Netrcol's own role must be positioned above the target role — see Permissions & Roles.

Set Nickname

Required permission: Manage Nicknames

Changes a member's server nickname.
