Register Commands
Netrcol register commands for Fluxer: verify a member, assign the registered and unregistered roles, and manage names as people join your server.
Topics: register, verify, member, role, k, registrar, channel
Overview
The register system gates your server behind a verified/unverified role flow. New members can be held with an unregistered role until staff register them, which grants the registered role. The quickest way to set it up is the step-by-step wizard (!register setup, or !register-setup with no arguments). With join automation enabled, new members automatically receive the unregistered role and a welcome embed is posted to the register channel, mentioning the registrar role. Members who hold the registrar role can register members even without Manage Roles. Netrcol needs Manage Roles, and its role must sit above the register roles — see Permissions & Roles.
Register Setup
!register-setup <channel> <registered_role_id> [unregistered_role_id] <staff_role_id>
Required permission: Manage Roles
Configures the register channel, the registered role, an optional unregistered role, and the registrar (staff) role. Running this enables join automation. Tip: run it with no arguments (or "!register setup") to launch a step-by-step wizard. Note the optional unregistered role only applies when four arguments are given.
| Option | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
channel | channel | Required | Register channel where the welcome embed is posted |
registered_role_id | role | Required | Role given to registered members |
unregistered_role_id | role | Optional | Role held by unregistered members (only when four arguments are passed) |
staff_role_id | role | Required | Registrar role; its holders can register members and it is mentioned in the welcome embed |
!register-setup #register 123456789012345678 222222222222222222!register-setup #register 123456789012345678 987654321098765432 222222222222222222
Register Status
!register-status
Required permission: Manage Roles
Shows the current register configuration: join automation state, register channel, and the registered, unregistered, and registrar roles.
!register-status
Register Disable
!register-disable
Required permission: Manage Roles
Turns off join automation: new members are no longer auto-assigned the unregistered role and no welcome embed is sent. The saved roles are kept, so !register, !k, and !unregister still work manually.
!register-disable
