Overview
Members earn XP for chatting. As XP accumulates they level up, can be announced, and can unlock role rewards. Configure everything on Dashboard → Levels, and let members check their progress with the level commands.
Earning XP
Members gain XP from messages. You can tune the system:
- Difficulty — change how fast members gain XP to make leveling faster or slower.
- No-XP channels — messages in selected channels earn no XP (great for spam or bot channels). Choose to block specific channels or allow all except selected.
- No-XP roles — members with selected roles earn no XP.
- Premium/boosters — optionally choose not to give extra XP to premium subscribers.
Level-up announcements
Turn on Level Up Announcement to celebrate when a member levels up. Set an announcement channel and a custom message using these parameters:
| Parameter | Replaced with |
|---|---|
{user} | A mention of the member |
{username} | The member's display name |
{level} | The new level |
{xp} | The member's total XP |
Role rewards
Grant a role automatically when a member reaches a chosen level. Add as many reward tiers as you like, and decide how they stack:
- Members can have multiple reward roles at once — they keep every reward they've earned.
- Members keep only their highest reward role — lower-tier rewards are removed as they climb.
Netrcol needs Manage Roles, and its role must sit above the reward roles — see Permissions & Roles.
Rank cards & leaderboard
Members can view a visual rank card with !rank, and the server leaderboard with !leaderboard. You can customize the default rank card's background and accent colors on the dashboard.
Managing XP
Staff can adjust XP directly with !give-xp and !remove-xp (both require Manage Server) — handy for corrections or rewarding event winners.
