Starboards
Highlight your community best messages on Fluxer: pick the emoji and threshold, and Netrcol reposts anything that passes into a showcase channel.
Topics: starboard, star, highlight, showcase
Highlight your community's best messages — when a message gets enough star reactions, it's reposted to a showcase channel.
⏳ Coming soon. Starboards are almost here. You can set everything up now, but Netrcol isn't reposting starred messages just yet — it will start automatically once this feature ships in an upcoming update.
Overview
A starboard watches for a chosen reaction (by default a star ⭐). When a message reaches the reaction threshold, Netrcol reposts it to a dedicated starboard channel so the whole server can enjoy it. Set it up on Dashboard → Starboards. You can run more than one starboard with different emojis and channels.
How it works
- A member reacts to a message with the star emoji.
- Once the message reaches the reaction threshold, Netrcol posts it to the starboard channel.
- The starboard entry links back to the original with a jump to message button.
Configuration
| Setting | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Starboard channel | Where starred messages are showcased |
| Star emoji | The reaction that counts toward the threshold (add your own) |
| Reaction threshold | How many reactions a message needs before it's posted |
| Appearance | How the starboard entry looks |
| Behavior | How the starboard treats messages and updates |
Tips
- A higher threshold keeps the starboard for truly popular messages; a lower one fills it faster.
- Netrcol needs Send Messages and Embed Links in the starboard channel, and Read Message History to see reactions — see Permissions & Roles.
Next steps
- Create a starboard on Dashboard → Starboards
- Confirm Netrcol's permissions
